DIVE Into Reading

Marty Hahne's first school program years ago pertained to the important topic of reading. Over the years, Marty has made several changes to the program to keep it fresh and exciting, and the reading presentation continues to be highly sought after by educators.

Marty's latest reading program is entitled "DIVE Into Reading!" This high-energy show has lots of audience participation, comedy, music and amazing magic, as we give your children actual tips, strategies and techniques that will help them each and every time they open up a book!

D - Details: As you are reading, look for the details such as the who, what, where, when, why. They help you understand what you are reading!

I - Imagination: Use your imagination to make the story come alive, and to guess what will happen next. This will help you stay involved with your book.

V - Vocabulary: Understanding the words of what you are reading is important! And if you don't know what a word means, use the sentence around it to figure it out.

E- Educational: Of course reading is educational. Through reading, we can learn to do anything in life that we desire. In fact, Marty started performing magic at age 8 after reading library books about the subject. At the time, he never imagined that he would some day become a full time professional magician.
